The annual Cinco De Mayo Street Fest is returning to Stone Street on May 5th, promising an exciting celebration of Mexican culture with delicious street food, live music, dancing street performers, complimentary tequila tastings, raffles with big prizes, and other festive activities.

Organized by the local businesses of Stone Street Historic District, the Cinco de Mayo Street Fest is a free-to-attend outdoor event that will kick off at noon and continue late into the night on Stone Street, located in the heart of the Financial District.

Key highlights of the event include:

  • Mexican Food & International Cuisines

Experience the rich cuisine of Mexico with a wide array of mouthwatering food options, including tacos, quesadillas, street corn, churros, and more, from the Mexican restaurant of the street, Mad Dog & Beans; empanadas and other latin flavors from the Cuban joint, Havana Social; as well as other international cuisines from the 10+ participating restaurants.

  • Live Music and Entertainment

Get into the festive spirit with live music performances by talented musicians (including a Mariachi band) playing traditional Mexican tunes and other genres to keep the energy high throughout the event. You’ll also find DJs playing latin beats for the dance floor at Havana Social, and dancing performers dressed up in Mexican festival costumes entertaining the crowds on the street.

  • Tequila and Beer Tastings

Mad Dog & Beans, as well as some of the other participating restaurants, will be offering complimentary tastings of tequila and Mexican beers, in collaboration with sponsoring beverage brands Casamigos, Patrón, Hornitos, 818 Tequila, Tequila La Puerta Negra, Corona and Modelo. (As long as supplies last.)

  • Outdoor Dining and Drinks

Dine al fresco at the outdoor seating areas and standing tables provided by participating restaurants and bars on Stone Street, and indulge in refreshing Mexican drinks, such as margaritas, Mexican beers, and a large variety of frozen drinks, sold at the vendors tents that are set up in the street.

  • Cinco de Mayo Specials and Big Prizes

Several of the restaurants and bars along Stone Street will be offering food and drinks specials and promotions in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, including raffles with big prizes such as AirPods, iPads, Yankee tickets, beach gear, and with the grand prize being two $500 gift cards.

"The Cinco de Mayo Street Fest on Stone Street is a much-anticipated event that brings together all the partygoers of the city to celebrate Mexican culture and enjoy a day of festivities," said Paul O’Connor, one of the organizers of the event. "We're excited to welcome everyone to join us at this lively annual event and tradition filled with food, drinks, music, and entertainment."

The Cinco de Mayo Street Fest on Stone Street is open to the public and admission is free. Drinks and food are sold by the local bars and restaurants. While the festival is open to everyone, it’s a pretty booze centric event and might not be the most family friendly. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation, as parking in the area may be limited.
